We are hiring a Food and Beverage Coordinator, who will be responsible for organizing daily operations and motivating café staff to provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include evening café shifts, monitoring daily expenses and revenues and ordering supplies as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Assists with any food production needs per supervisor’s request before, during, or after client arrival.
- Ensures that hot food and cold food is being held or cooked to proper temperature as directed by state of Virginia Department of Health regulation.
- Makes sure that food placed out for service is held at proper temperatures for safe and wholesome consumption by the public.
- Ensures that any leftover food is properly labeled, dated, and stored per Virginia Health code.
- Performs annual maintenance on any and all food production and service areas as deemed necessary by supervisor IE: painting, deep cleaning, minor repair and maintenance of service and cooking equipment, and small wares.
- Maintains a positive work environment with all levels of the organization and guests.
- Other duties as required.
- Nights and weekends as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least twenty-one years old.
- Passion for quality, safety, and sanitization
- Understand and Practice basic food safety.
- Serve Safe Certification or willing to obtain.
- Managers’ Alcohol Responsibility Training (MART) Certification or willing to obtain.
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have strong leadership skills.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- The facility has intermittent noise.
- Varying temperatures ranging from 60 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
